Keri Arthur
In a world where magic and science sit side by side, and powerful witches are considered necessary aides for all governments, Lizzie Grace is something of an outlier. Though born into one the most powerful blue blood witch families, she wants nothing to do with either her past or her magic. But when she and Belle, her human familiar and best friend, open a small cafe in the Faelan werewolf reservation, she quickly finds herself enmeshed in the hunt for a vampire intent on wreaking bloody havoc. It’s a hunt that soon becomes personal, and one that is going to take all her skills to survive–that’s if the werewolves, who hate all things witch, don’t get her first. What everyone is saying about Keri Arthur’s novels:If you love fantasy novels like I do, don't miss Blood Kissed! "It has been a quite a while since I read a book I knew I was going to reread over and over long before finishing it. I had a bit of trouble reading past 80% because there is no second book out yet. It's not even listed yet. I already knew I was going to need the second book pronto after finishing it.

Normally, I'm not a fan of witch books. Never really been into them with few exceptions. This was one that the blurb sounded so interesting that I read it anyway and am forever grateful that I did. While Lizzie may not be top witch in her world, she was a blast to read about as she struggled with hiding and doing the right thing. Oh and watching her and Aiden work around each other. That was fun, too.

The thing I liked first about this was not the hot werewolf (crazy, right?!) but the relationship between Lizzie and Belle. This relationship was the main reason I read the book. I had to find out about this crazy pairing. I loved these two. Always connected but able to shield enough for privacy, but hey, they make sure they can break through if in trouble. I really like this wasn't abused in such a way.

The author threw in plenty of world building and character building enough to keep the reader engaged but not too much to drag the book down. I'm really interested to learn more about Lizzie's past (aaaand maybe how Aiden takes it, if he ever finds out). I want to know more about this fun world and the next adventure that lands in Lizzie's lap.

A new series about werewolves, vampires and witches that is different enough to stand out seems improbable these days. Somehow, Keri Arthur has managed to do just that and create a wonderful new book that I'll be eagerly awaiting for more."
