"Cute, sweet and I couldn’t put it down.

I was hooked from the first chapter. This is a good book. If you’re looking for a cute and sweet romance then this is it. I was a little confused by the conflict in the book because it made no sense to me. However, with how sweet this book was I can’t imagine a real sinister conflicts arising. Overall I’d read this book again."

"The blurb for this is slightly misleading. Not in a horrible way, but this definitely doesn't seem to play out like I thought it would.

For the rating, there are things I enjoyed. There are things in here I'd even praise. I liked the developing relationship between Caden and Murphy. Friends to lovers is one of my favorite tropes. I love how their feelings blindside both of them. They have a great friendship. The author adds two situations that, as a society, we downplay. <spoiler>The usage of a date rape drug on a guy. In this, the girls discount it as rape because we have this idea that any guy should be happy just to get some. It is still a dangerous mindset that we have that guys can't be raped by women. The second being revenge ****. This happens a lot and it's scary. It's not always considered a crime (disturbing, I know) but in this case, it is.</spoiler>

Unfortunately, the bad outweighs the good. This book is full of contradiction. One one hand, we see the author deal with two subjects that happen a lot and are big issues. One the other hand, we have **** shaming throughout the book. The amount of **** shaming is horrendous. It's not even something that the main character witnesses (being friends with someone who is a sports star) but someone who is the **** shamer. And it's a huge turn off when coming to liking a character. When Murphy is dealing with the girls who want to sleep with Caden who are bitchy to her, the author had plenty of other ways of handing a scene. Not once did Murphy call the girls bitches, she always refers to them as *****. Truthfully, I almost DNF'd this. It's that bad. But having went on a trip (two hour flight oneway along with the waiting to board) I stuck it out because I didn't want to waste my time looking and scavenging for another KU book."
