"Continuing the Dune series and enjoying the intricacies of the story. Herbert had such a vivid imagination to create the Dune universe. The first in the series is still my favorite, but planning to read the series because I have to know where it ends!
PS If you read the first six in the series that were actually written by Frank Herbert, did you read the next two that were written by his son, Brian?"
"Heretics of Dune by Frank Herbert
3/5 ⭐⭐⭐
This was another building blocks book, setting the stage for the finale.
The Sisters meet the Scattering and the Atreides and Idaho lines continue to move the narrative.
Mile Teg was my favorite POV especially what he became. Duncan Idaho is still kinda unknown, not sure what they'll do with him.
I wish there had been more Sheeana POV, she is a mystery still.
How will the Sisterhood continue from this pivot point."
"Awesome read, very wordy, very deep. This book takes place 1500 years after the scattering and now that the people are returning I g from the scattering, troubles a brewing. It focuses on the Bene Gesserit sisterhood this time, introducing us to the plan within plan x100 world of theirs. We are reunited with yet another ghola of Duncan Idaho. We meet a young girl from Rakis (formerly Arrakis) who can control the sand worms, so naturally, everyone with power wants her. I have to say the best character by far in this book was the Bashar Miles Teg. Whenever Teg was the focus of the chapter, it was awesome, especially near the end. The main antagonists of this story are the Honored Matres. In a nutshell, very evil Bene Gesserit who control people through sexuality and violence. Very good read for those who love the Dune books."
