"I came across this book at a old used book store in a small prairie town. I bought it to read on the trail ride I was going on later that week but from the moment I read the first poem I found myself completely submersed in something unique. I became intertwined with the heartbreak of a woman I didn’t even know but felt all too connected to. On the surface it didn’t seem like we would have much in common as this was a book that talked heavily on identity as a woman of mixed ethnicities that I did not relate to, but within the page I was connected to every word and saw myself being pieced back together. This book is gut-wrenchingly beautiful and deserves much more attention. It is truly beautiful.. "
