"Honestly I felt the show’s adaptation of this was much better. You got more out of the side characters story’s and I just feel like you felt the raw emotion from the show a lot more. This felt like reading a spark notes summery for the show. Overall it was still cute and sweet so I’ll rate it 4 stars"
"Okay, but the book was written after the show. Charlotte, a black princess, is brought from Germany to marry King George of England. Their marriage, with the assistance of the Queen’s lady, Agatha, forces the old ton to accept and elevate the new, black ton. While George and Charlotte look like they could have a marriage of love, George hides from Charlotte while doing treatments for his mental health. Charlotte is bored and lonely. She tries to get closer to George, but he won’t let it happen. Eventually, she forced herself into his treatments and saw the inhumanity of them and demanded the doctor leaves! She persuades George that her love is better than treatments. George’s mental health does not allow him to even be able to give a speech to Parliament, putting the Crown at risk. Charlotte steps up and hosts a ball for Parliament instead and produces an heir for the Crown. When George has an episode, she joins him under the bed to calm him! "

"This book is exactly like the show! Although it has some down parts I think if someone loved the show and wants to get into reading this is a great way to start! Chapters are short and they go through 4 main characters (Charolotte, George, Lady Danbury, and Brimsley). "
