"The cover is definitely misleading. You’d think it’s about pets and animals but that’s the smallest portion of the book. Maeve (the main character) finds that her birth mother passed away and leaves her everything. There are topics on domestic violence, drugs, alcoholic issues, and some suggestions on sexual abuse. It’s a story telling book and not much on making you think. There’s #comedy in it: “Your kids ought to be on a birth control commercial or something… I’m pretty sure their high-pitched shrieks would be enough for anybody to beg for the pill.” Maeve works on connecting with herself and finding more about her birth mother. #fiction #drama #romance #pets #book #lightread #wlwrep"
