"A great modern retelling of the classic! As always, Weir’s work delights through showcasing human vulnerability, and how all of us have a story to tell. This novel deals with grief, loss, anxiety, and chosen family. Not to mention, anyone who loves NYC will get a kick out of all the easter eggs (pizza rat, anyone?) Padilla and Weir have woven into the story.

Ultimately, this is a great retelling for anyone who may be struggling to fit in, connect with family, deal with anxiety, or who has gone through great grief.

Like Archival Quality, I can’t recommend this enough, and Secret Garden on 81st street is an easy, accessible retelling that would benefit younger readers."
