"Combines my love of history and musicals all in one. The majority musical numbers serve to further the story and/or give characterization to the historical figures.
While not everything is historically accurate (the characterization of John Dickinson being a big example) what it does get right is the conflict that did exist between original 13 colonies during the American Revolution. Which makes the signing of the Declaration at the end so impactful given the struggle that took place throughout the musical.
Plus 95% of the actors were a part of the original Broadway cast including William Daniels who plays John Adams. This film as a result gives us an idea what the original stage production was like."

"Hella fun, they don’t make great movies like this anymore.
obviously not historically accurate, but more accurate than hamilton.
The songs are so addicting- John Cullum does an AMAZING job in Molasses to Rum. Argue with me, it’s one of the most greatest actor performances in a motion picture musical.
I enjoyed every part of this- if you have time, watch it. If you think Hamilton is the best musical…? watch it…"
