A UFC Women's Flyweight Championship rematch between current champion Alexa Grasso and former champion Valentina Shevchenko headlined the event. The pair previously met at UFC 285 in March 2023 in which Grasso captured the title via a fourth round submission upset.

"Another banger of a card almost got PPV vibes from this event! There were some highlight worthy moments from the Prelims, especially with Campbell, Kopylov, and Godinez. The main card was entertaining through and through! There are a lot of close fights in this main card and a whole lot of controversy. First, we got a solid featherweight banger with Padilla vs. Nelson amd a nice highlight from "Golden Boy" Zellheuber. Raul Rosas Jr is back in his winning ways with a spectacular 1st round KO. Then, we get another really close fight, but a banger between Kevin Holland vs JDM! Finally, we get one of the best title fights in Women's MMA between Alexa Grasso and Valentina Shevchenko. It was an exciting yet anxiety enducing 5 rounds but the judges declared it a draw. Weird end because I thought either one could've edged it out, but it is what it is. I'm down for more fight nights where they have championship bouts, maybe we'll see more in the future! "
