"I slept on this too long. It came out about the time I was becoming disillusioned with my dive into anime so I wrote this off as one. This is awesome. An epic allegorical tale about a boy and his pet/friend and their Homerific journey to try to save his mom. Throwing shade at all the greed/fear/dishonesty they meet along the way but still holding true to the good fight. While the story is heartwarming and heartbreaking, it’s an adult sci-fi, action series with brutal and breathtaking action scenes. I loved the animation. This, along with a lot of adult animation these days, is described as “anime inspired “. Netflix has become a leader in these kinds of fantastic series. This was produced in Thailand. And I rank it up there with BES, Arcane, Castlevania and the best movies of them. Hope the rumors are not true of no plans for a second season. "

"I wasn’t expecting much when going into this show. I’m not a big fan of the animation style, so it put me off from watching it the first time I saw it. I recently went back after seeing a small tiktok about it, and ended up really enjoying it. The artwork is beautiful, and it’s basically like a truer to life pokemon show; where instead of mostly harmony, it shows the deeper level of spiteful humanity. I’m not sure if there will be another season, since the last episode wrapped everything up pretty nicely, but if there is a second I will definitely be watching it. "

"The animation style wasn't exactly what I usually enjoy (more computer generated) but the storyline and characters more than made up for it. It does a great job of showing multidimensional development as it goes through a world with two dominant species (humans and daemons) in an almost post-apocalyptic world. Plus the plot is very fast paced and always moving, and not quite as predictable as I was thinking it would be."
