"Getting close to finishing the game this is based on and decided to binge all the episodes since they’re so short. Wish we got a longer series closer to the game’s story (and with the actual MC!), but I guess this approach solves an issue all otome games have: how do you craft a linear anime out of a game with many branching paths? But you’re honestly not going to care or even understand this anime if you haven’t played the game first; and even then, as a player, there was lots left to be desired. I do wish we got ending scenes with the other romanceables in the game and there were a few NPCs I’m surprised never made an appearance, especially since Julie did and made it on the credits picture. And again, I really wish we got the actual MC in this, especially since there’s moments that felt off with Scarlet’s character that would’ve worked better if replaced with the MC."
