"I had never heard of this case before now, so it was extremely interesting to learn about the fine details through this documentary. I love how the survivors spoke about their experiences and said their truths. It was obvious how hard it was for them to relive their horrific experiences, but empowering to see how they survived such a monstrous event and finally had the chance to reveal what truly occurred. I truly enjoyed this true crime documentary!"
"A difficult, but engaging watch. The explanations are not graphic. The documentary focuses on the experience of a victim who helped the serial killer who kidnapped her. It explores the complexity of her relationship to other victims and victims families and the difficult aftermath as people tried to sort out whether she was victim or accomplice. Depending on how you end up feeling at the end of the case, I think this is a helpful real-life example of why believing the victim is so important to their healing and how there’s no “normal” reaction to trauma."
