"Love this frothy series! Mystery, intrigue, royalty and a dashing Irishman in every book!"

"I'm feeling a bit lukewarm about this book, but am willing to read more in the series to see if the characters and writing style develop further. Although I enjoyed some aspects, the characters were mostly caricatures and the writing wasn't entirely fluid, but series often take some time to develop. And I do know that in many of the cases, the caricature was intentional for humor's sake. It just didn't feel entirely fresh for me, but the seeds were there. When I go back and watch the pilot episodes of favorite TV shows I often wonder what it was that kept me watching long enough to really fall in love with the series later on; the same is true for book series. So I'm willing to give this series another chance to see what happens in the next book."
