"The story that Kadrey tells across the span of this series is incredible. But if you aren't looking for a long commitment Sandman Slim stands well on its own. A simple tale of a man who has had to become a monster through terrible circumstances to enact his revenge. But if you want to see that monster try and become a man again, don't stop with book 1. One of my all time favorite series and the best modern fantasy around. "
"It's like a poor man's Constantine but with some action. The writing has quite a bit of humor to it which is nice and the Audiobook narrator, MacLeod Andrews, is perfect for the role. That being said it's not a deep story, or lore heavy, which is really what I want but a solid read and I expect I'll read more of this series in the future."
