"In upstate New York, in the woods around Woodstock, Dutchman's Creek flows out of the Ashokan Reservoir. Steep-banked, fast-moving, it offers the promise of fine fishing, and of something more, a possibility too fantastic to be true. When Abe and Dan, two widowers who have found solace in each other's company and a shared passion for fishing, hear rumors of the Creek, and what might be found there, the remedy to both their losses, they dismiss it as just another fish story. Soon, though, the men find themselves drawn into a tale as deep and old as the Reservoir. It's a tale of dark pacts, of long-buried secrets, and of a mysterious figure known as Der Fisher: the Fisherman. It will bring Abe and Dan face to face with all that they have lost, and with the price they must pay to regain it."--Publisher.

"I thought this book was interesting. I didn’t find it “scary” like I’ve seen so many say. Is there creepy moments? Sure , how many? Not many. It’s well written I “liked” it but it just wasn’t totally for me. I found myself bored and not connected to the characters. That’s not to say you’ll find it boring. There’s some different timelines and it got a little confusing at some points (I listened on audible) so at certain points I was like …what the hell just happened ? I’m glad I read it but i won’t miss it. "
"I really enjoyed this. I love the storytelling feel. I love the richness of the the characters and and locations. I love the literature feel, and the story that just flowed right over you until you were swept away… I will have to reread this at least one more time. I swear the story just transports you. Kinda makes me think of Laird Barron. Well done. "
"I read this book twice in 2022. I suppose it's my new favorite book. I wish that it kept going. I wanted to know more. It's a book about friendship, heartbreak, the supernatural, magic, and fear. It's excellent. I heard people complain about it from the beginning before I started reading this, but I loved it. I am difficult to please, I will DNF really fast. I recommended this friends and family."
"Absolutely loved it! It’s like Lovecraft without the racism. Perfect cosmic horror book. "
