What happens when a villain becomes a hero? Mr. Hyde is trapped, locked in Dr. Jekyll s surgical cabinet, counting the hours until his inevitable capture. As four days pass, he has the chance, finally, to tell his story the story of his brief, marvelous life. Summoned to life by strange potions, Hyde knows not when or how long he will have control of the body. When dormant, he watches Dr. Jekyll from a remove, conscious of this other, high-class life but without influence. As the experiment continues, their mutual existence is threatened, not only by the uncertainties of untested science, but also by a mysterious stalker. Hyde is being taunted possibly framed. Girls have gone missing; someone has been killed. Who stands, watching, from the shadows? In the blur of this shared consciousness, can Hyde ever be confident these crimes were not committed by his hand? You may think you know Dr. Jekyll, but this Hyde is a different beast altogether." Jon Clinch, author of Finn "Prepare to be seduced by literary devilry! Go back to Victorian times to find a very postmodern whodunit. Visceral prose, atmosphere you could choke on, characters who seem to be at your very shoulder." Ronald Frame, author of Havisham "Hyde brings into the light the various horrors still hidden in the dark heart of Stevenson s classic tale of monstrosity and addiction. Devious and ingenious, it is a blazing triumph of the gothic imagination." Patrick McGrath, author of Asylum A knockout debut novel. As much a fascinating psychological query as it is a gripping narrative. Benjamin Percy, author of Red Moon www.danielglevine.com $24.00Higher in CanadaISBN: 978-0-544-19118-10314/1556680 "

"Larua DeLuca strikes again! I have become extremely attached to this series and am sad to see it end. Lord Justyn and his leading lady Becca have wormed their way into my heart and taken up permanent residence. I wanted to give this book more than five stars, but sadly that is all that I am allowed to give it.

It's the summer vacation and Justyn and Becca have to work in order to make sure that they have the money to pay for their rent. Not only that but they find themselves to be the stars in a dinner theater production of the dark story of Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde.

Not only are Justyn and Becca working, but they are surprising their families with a wonderful surprise. Well...Becca happens to have another surprise that doesn't come out until it's almost too late.

Justyn and Becca are about to learn that their summer isn't what they hoped it to be. While they thought they put all the craziness of the past productions behind them, they realize that they haven't. The production of Hyde brings out a whole new case of people who are out to get them, only for different reasons.

With her best friend in tow and of course Tom, Becca is out to make sure that Justyn and her get their happily ever after, even if it does end up endangering not only her life but Justyn's as well.

I love how Laura depicts these plays and really brings them to life. It captivates the reader in such a way that it's impossible to put the book down."
