"4.75/5⭐️ this was a great read!! Second in a series of interconnected stand alones. It could be read on its own if you don't want to read the first book. The plot was interesting and the side characters are great. Judah was an incredible mmc. He was so patient and supportive. Soledad is so strong and her arc is incredible. I took off .25 because there was a small lul for me after the half way mark and I wanted more on Soledad’s girls sorting out their relationship with their dad. It does resolve very well and there truely are no flaws just for me I think that would have made it perfect!! There is some spice and the scenes are good. Not very many and they are closer to the end. Its definitely a slow burn. 1.5/5 spice level. "
"Normally I don’t enjoy slow burn romances all that much because I feel like they take FOREVER to get to the good stuff, but with this one I stayed patient and I genuinely appreciated the fact that their relationship took time. Made it feel a bit more realistic, especially because the couple was more mature and had their kids to consider. Also, I love that this story doesn’t just focus on the lovey-dovey aspect of things but also considers the trope of falling in love with yourself and starting over when you feel like it’s all gone wrong. Also, spice!!!!! Perfect amount for me but you don’t get to it until like 30 chapters in which again- cool with that because I loved this story so much. Can’t wait for the next book!"
"I don’t know what in the past made me doubt Kennedy Ryan’s writing but I’d like to think I’ve learned my lesson. It was so easy to get lost in This Could Be Us. The story started off strong and interesting. It was refreshing to read about 40+ year olds getting their chance at a happily ever after. I enjoyed the initial drama with Sol and Edward. It did start to drag a bit about halfway through. I think all of the will they won’t they lasted longer than I hoped and there really was no climax to this story. There were some nice lessons to pull away from this story and that’ll ensure it stays with the readers far after they’ve finished reading."
"This was an enjoyable story for me. I enjoyed the story overall and felt like the story was unique, but the writing didn’t pull me in like the first book did. I still would recommend it to those that enjoyed the first book and other Kennedy Ryan books. The way Soledad and Judah connected and spoke to each other at the beginning just didn’t feel realistic to me, but I enjoyed their relationship more in the second part of the book, although the second part did drag a bit. I loved seeing the autism representation in this book from the parent’s perspective."
"4.5/5 ⭐️

I don't ask where we're headed, and I'm not sure he has a specific destination in mind. The ride is the point, and that we are on this road together.

This was a really good book about finding and loving yourself. In true Kennedy Ryan fashion this book wasn’t only a romance book but one about healing after finding out someone’s true nature. Soledad was a great fmc, I loved seeing how much character development she had with her kids and with the romance with Judah. The romance was beautiful, a slow burn that happened on Soledad’s terms after her healing and growth. I loved Hendrix, Yasmin’s and Sol’s friendship and the found family aspect of the book. I kinda wish there was a little more in the romance aspect though but overall this was a beautiful self love and romance story.

Tropes/themes:
- Healing after an unfaithful spouse
- Self love/resilience
- Parenting
- Character growth
- Autism rep
- Friendship/sisterhood
- Slow burn romance"
