"Young assassin. Assassin school. Action packed, steamy at times -similar vibes to my favorite revenge Fantasy novel-Best Served Cold but with younger characters. Extensive footnotes for world building at bottom of pages bother some."

"3.75 star. In all honesty I wish I never read this last tale. It was hard at first I love this seires so much and I didn't want it to come to an end. But the unfairness of the things that happened were too much for me. I could not enjoy this book the way I wanted too. Reading about my favorite character getting turned into a doormat was too heartbreaking to watch. I did however love the narrator Holter Graham. He brought life to the characters and the whispering dark was one of my favorite techniques he used. But it's going to be difficult to write this without spoilers so turn away now gentle friend.

Why? Why? Why bring Tric back I just don't understand I could have came to grips with him staying dead. I actually gave up hope in book 2 so it was fine. Tric went through so much and got treated less than trash by the one he went through hell for. His character felt like a third wheel the entire book and I could not come to terms with it. All the love and joy I had in the first book got repeatedly smashed over and over again. This boy clawed his way out of hell and she barely spoke to him. I was shattered. Ash who utterly destroyed his world constantly rubbing her perfect life in his face. And I really I don't want to curse the Author who apparently doesn't do happy ending yet somehow Ash gets hers so that seems fair.

I did not understand their relationship Ash and Mia. The only thing they had going was that they were so much alike. Tric even has a chance to kill Ash and yet he couldn't do that to the one he loved. Could Ash say the same? My heart actually hurts at the unfairness of it all. I wish he would have never returned Mia did not deserve him or anything for that matter after what she did. I understand they all kill innocents but if Tric would have did the same he would have never been forgiven. How can a book physically hurt you so much?

I'm so disappointed in this story I wish I would have stayed oblivious to what was actually going to happen and never went past book 1. But if I could get past these facts the story is still a great one. I love how the narrator speaks to you and jests. There is blood, favorites die, the world building is miraculous, and its everything I want in a book. The one liners are some of my favorites giving you a chill to your bones that only dark magic words can. Also the books in the library they read was an amazing twist. My mouth fell open at the words and I felt like I was glowing with love for this series.

This world became implanted in my heart and I fell for the characters as if they were my own
famiglia. The not cat and not wolf were as always some of my favorites enriching the story and making me want to have them for my own. The plot came with too many fillers though the scenes playing out for far to long. Especially the ending. It felt like an eternity because I got to far in and wanted it over with. I just want to forget now gentle friend I want to forget the hurt I feel."
"One of my favorite trilogies!"
