"I wanted to climb through this book and give Caprice & Shaun a huge hug. This book is a tear jerker, Shaun baby, you know that you’re heaven sent right ?? You put your life at risk for your “homie, lover, friend” and you had no regrets. Shaun and Caprice deserves a million lifetimes together ! Shaun’s mother raised a very good young man. Shaun and Caprice met each other when he was in the fifth grade and she was in the third grade. Caprice was new to the neighborhood, her mother died so her grandmother took her in… and ever since she’s moved in with her grandmother life has been hell for the 8 year old Caprice. Her uncle Marcel needs to be put under the jail and in hell ! And Grandma Gracie, you are no better. Shaun and Caprice navigated through life and high school with each other until they had to part ways due to messed up circumstances. But bebehhhh when they reconnected years down the line , it was onnnnn and POPPIN ! Both of their careers were POPPIN, their glow ups were POPPIN ! And when Caprice saw the yacht with her name on it and thought it was a coincidence, nah baby that ain’t no coincidence, that man still thought about you when you were away. *cues Brian McKnight’s love of my life* Aye- stop playing and read this book ! I ain’t playing ! MILLIE BELIZAIRE PUT HER FOOT AND ELBOW INTO THIS BOOK ! "
"<strong>Good storyline</strong><br/><br/>Overall, I enjoyed the book’s storyline. I did feel like it was drawn out. When I made it to chapter 24 but was only 50% through the book I almost cried. I think the story would’ve been better had a lot of the unnecessary scenes been cut short. We didn’t need a background on every character they came across. Shaun was a beautiful, understanding man. That was refreshing, to have a break from reading about the men who just can’t get right."
"This was a nice spin on the motorcycle club trope. It's not really a MC book, it's more about the people on the <i> fringe </i> of a "one percent-er" club (i.e. 99% of motorcycle enthusiasts are law-abiding citizens, and this motorcycle club is in the 1% that <i> aren't </i>). <br/><br/>Hope, the club president's daughter, is a bit of a goofy fangirl. She has the hots for Ryan, who has a reality tv show building motorcycles. <br/><br/><b> He looked like a guy who wore his heart on his sleeve but didn't mind beating the crap outta anyone who made fun of him for it. </b><br/><br/>Ryan is actually kind of a marshmallow. I don't know where she get's the impression that he'd beat the crap out of anyone. <br/><br/><b> "It's hard to be the one reaching out. Once you've been slapped down a time or two, you stop reaching. </b><br/><br/>Ryan and Hope are so sugary sweet together. I loved it. <br/>I did wish we got more insight into Hope's relationship with her dad. She claimed he was such a nice guy at first, but we never got to see that in the book. <br/><br/>Overall, I really enjoyed this. I'm really looking forward to seeing more of Ryan's brother Dylan, who I hope will be getting his own book."
