"Austen combines wicked literary parody with a touching love story, as plucky, entirely "normal" heroine Catherine Norland is whisked away from her prosaic rural existence to the decadent Bath. Fortunately Catherine is an ardent reader of Gothic novels, so she is fully prepared to deal with whatever villains she encounters...but real life is not quite like the _Castle of Otranto_. _Northanger Abbey_ features my absolute favorite of Austen's heroes; the charming and kind Henry Tilney, who enjoys hanging out with his sister, admits to reading novels, likes dancing, and can even pick out a decent washable dress fabric. And he's straight!"
"Can’t go wrong with a Jane Austen book. "

"I’m glad Catherine ended up with whom I wanted her to!
The suspenseful elements of her imagination getting the better of her at Northanger were a pleasant way to add some spice to this work of Austen’s and differentiate it ever so slightly in tone (and almost genre) from her other works.
Also, what a hilarious final line."

"I love Jane Austen and I absolutely love Henry Tilney. If you love Jane Austen's humor, this is 100% your book. Definitely one of my favorites. Catherine and Henry are beyond adorable and hilarious.
"I never was so deceived in anyone's character in my life before!" -Catherine
"Among all the great variety that you have known and studied so well." -Henry
⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Northhanger Abbey
⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Henry Tilney"
"A lot of people have read Pride and Prejudice but not as many have read Northanger Abby. I highly recommend that you do! It is different and intriguing and almost gloomy in a way that none of Jane Austin’s other books are. "
