"This book was beautiful!! It’s a love story in so many ways; romantic, friendship, the love of family, self love, and so much more. The book starts with Avery getting interrupted from jumping in the river and ending her life with the news that an asteroid is headed to earth and there’s only 9 days left to live. The rest of the story is about not only trying to survive but being with the people she loves and also learning to accept herself and want to live. So much of this story is about allowing yourself to be known by people and coming to the realization that just because you don’t have a reason to be sad, doesn’t mean that you aren’t sad. It’s learning to accept that part of yourself and wanting to stay alive anyway. It’s learning that you don’t have to do things for a purpose, you can just do things because they make you happy and you can create beautiful things just for yourself. It’s realizing that it’s okay to stay just because you’re curious about what’s next and you don’t need to always be working to improve or be better, you’re allowed to just be! I’m normally not a fan of stories with open endings but I loved this one! I loved the possibility in the ending, the hope of it all. This book was just so beautiful all around ♥️"
