Stanley Tucci
INSTANT NEW YORK TIMES BESTSELLER Named a Notable Book of the Year by NPR and The Washington Post From award-winning actor and food obsessive Stanley Tucci comes an intimate and charming memoir of life in and out of the kitchen.Stanley Tucci grew up in an Italian American family that spent every night around the kitchen table. He shared the magic of those meals with us in The Tucci Cookbook and The Tucci Table, and now he takes us beyond the savory recipes and into the compelling stories behind them. Taste is a reflection on the intersection of food and life, filled with anecdotes about his growing up in Westchester, New York; preparing for and shooting the foodie films Big Night and Julie & Julia; falling in love over dinner; and teaming up with his wife to create meals for a multitude of children. Each morsel of this gastronomic journey through good times and bad, five-star meals and burned dishes, is as heartfelt and delicious as the last. Written with Stanley’s signature wry humor, Taste is for fans of Bill Buford, Gabrielle Hamilton, and Ruth Reichl—and anyone who knows the power of a home-cooked meal.

"Loved the fact that I read everything while hearing his voice in my head. His recipes and adventures entwine together beautifully. "

"Fun, light, and full of stories so many can relate to. I didn’t realize autobiographies can be fun to read!"

"<strong>3.5/5 cute </strong><br/><br/>Short sweet romance about Gianni and Ellie who’ve been fighting since they were kids. Working together has made them realize there might be more to the bickering than previously thought. One night working out of town has them stranded for the night due to a blizzard. And of course there’s one small bed and minimal heat, oh what are two young twenty year olds to do? This is ofcourse a surprise pregnancy trope and has them reeling how to handle having a baby without being in a relationship. Slightly on the juvenile side with the issues but tbh they’re twenty three. Overall a cute romance easy light read."
"I strongly recommend listening to this book. And then have the hard copy for the recipes. It made me feel like I was listening to a close friend recounting stories and recipes- and had to keep reminding myself that I wasn’t actually there. Lifetime keeper."

"Taste by Stanley Tucci<br/>⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️<br/><br/>Things I enjoy: <br/>Listening to books read by the author. <br/>Food writing. <br/><br/>Taste checks both of those boxes. I did enjoy this book but if you don’t enjoy food writing this probably isn’t a book for you. Although, if you like to hear about travels, culinary tradition, & life through a foodie lens, you should give this book a listen or a read. <br/>One cool element about Tucci’s writing is that he included recipes, both traditional, his own, & from his very English wife Felicity. I will be buying a copy of this book to serve as a cookbook. I literally listened to the man read recipes so easy to say, it was delightful to listen to. <br/>My only caution is regarding language. There are quite a few strong words & one particular chapter has it repeated over & over with increasing volume, so beware of you listen aloud or with littles in ear shot. For that reason only, I give this book 4⭐️."
