"The illustrations are a complete compliment to the text, filling in what isn't said (as it should be in a manga). The relationship between Ciel and Sebastian is brilliantly crafted. Bold promises about Sebastian's abilities are made early on and the reader is neither disappointed nor bored. I made a guess as to what Sebastian's secret was early on (I was wrong). Trying to figure out what lay beneath the surface was an intriguing puzzle that kept me engaged the whole time. Not to mention the delightful wit and humour."
