"Cutest, cozy, holiday mystery. Loved it. Hallmark mystery book.
Maggie a new author who’s had horrible luck gets invited to Christmas at a castle in the UK. Her publicist tells her she must go but can’t tell her who the castle belongs too. When she gets there she sees Ethan. She HATES Ethan. He’s a rival author who gets everything he wants. Tall, handsome and cocky. They find out they are at Elenor Ashley’s house. The famous crime novelist who inspired Maggie. Maggie invites some family, a doctor, her lawyer, and the police inspector to be her other guest. Elenor goes missing on Christmas Eve Eve and no one can find her. You learn her family wants her money, her niece isn’t her niece but a scam artist and everyone has something to hide. Maggie and Ethan solve the case with it being the inspector. They fall in love but no one has found Elenor. The epilogue you find out that Ethan and Maggie are still together. They meet Elenor and her butler turned lover. No one know where Elenor is except them and Elenor likes it that way."

"This was a refreshing change for a Christmas story. Still a bit of a romantic aspect to it, but the mystery is what takes the cake. There is a lot of characters to remember, so if you have difficulty with that then this isn't the book for you."

"Perfect holiday read. It’s a cozy mystery if that even makes sense, a classic whodunnit.

I didn’t love the MMC solely because he kept calling the FMC “sweetheart” and I cringed every time. And I might be overthinking but before the romance started his teasing was too close to sexually harassing for me."
"I really liked the way the chapters were broken up with the script-style interactions between Ethan and Maggie. It added a fun, dynamic layer to the mystery story.

However, I wasn't fully convinced by the execution of the enemies-to-lovers trope. The reasons behind their animosity didn't feel developed enough to make the shift to romance believable. It needed a bit more depth to make that transition feel earned.

But hey, who doesn't enjoy a good Nancy Drew-style love story?"
