"I read this for english class in grade 11 but it seriously is one of the best books I've ever read. it deals with heavy topics like drinking, sexual assault, drugs, death, etc. a very sad story but really brings you into the life of an Indigenous person in Canada and the hardships they deal with, which also serves as information and insight for non-Indigenous people reading it. I teared up a few times and I like that the ending is essentially left to interpretation as well. definitely recommenD"

"A lot of the reviewers called this disjointed, but I enjoyed the back and forth setting and the minor interruptions for medical information. The account feels very real without pandering, and the mythology is an interesting mix. I'd read more Robinson if I come across some!"
