Previously published under a different title This wolf mates for life… Nina Reyes knows trouble when she sees it, and Lex Warden, Enforcer for the local werewolf pack, is nothing but. When her brother gets in too deep with some dangerous wolves and comes to Nina for help—dragging super alpha protector Lex into her life—she can handle it. She might have put her grifter past behind her, but she's still got what it takes. If only she didn't find Lex—his body, his scent, even his domineering nature—so intoxicating. As Enforcer, it's Lex's job to protect his people. Nina might be more capable of handling herself than he initially thought, but that doesn't mean she's safe from their enemies. His need to protect her is more than just pack business—Nina, a human, is his mate. Bedding her once is not even close to enough; to satisfy his wolf, he needs a true bond. The heat between them scares Nina, but sometimes the reward is worth the risk, and the thought of living without Lex terrifies her more than any threat the werewolf mafia can pose. Lex will do anything to keep her safe. And when the Rogues catch up to them, he'll get a chance to prove it… The Cascadia Wolves series by Lauren Dane:Book 1: Reluctant MateBook 2: Pack EnforcerBook 3: Wolves' TriadBook 4: Wolf UnboundBook 5: Alpha's ChallengeBook 6: Bonded PairBook 7: Twice Bitten

"3.5⭐
I enjoyed this book! The plot was fun and fairly fast paced, and I really liked Nina! She was such a strong character, and she was also quite sassy and snarky, which was quite entertaining! But…there were some things that bothered me, especially in the first half of the book. The first and largest thing was how Lex omitted sooo much information. He didn't lie to Nina, but he also wasn't even close to being 100% honest. He didn't explain anything about the mating bond before forming it. He did ask for her consent, but she had no clue what she was consenting to, and he knew that and did it anyway. On top of that, he didn't tell her about the tri-bond until the last possible second. So basically, she's been made Lex's mate without her consent, and now she's being told that she's expected to bond with a second male, Lex's brother no less, or else she'll lose her mind!!! And she was just expected to accept all of this! Hell no! I know Nina was a bit of a bitch sometimes, but I really couldn't blame her! I'd have been freaking out too! Nina and Lex spent the majority of the time fighting, but that did mean we got some pretty fun banter. And the final half of the book was pretty good! Lots of drama and werewolf politics! This book definitely could have been better, but I don't regret reading it, and I'm still planning on checking out the next book! Hopefully it'll be better than this one! If you're a fan of spicy shifter romances then this series might just be worth checking out!"
