"!FOLLOWUP! the second book moves on nicely, it doesn't feel like it's pulling more plot out of its ass for the sake of continuing (as sequels sometimes do). It does turn into a bit of a slow burn mystery though, not really my thing but I think it's executed well. The romance slowed down a bit for me, but we do see it build up and climax (😏lol). I will also compliment the books pacing, and the world building as well. 7/10"
