Dark romance, high stakes, and plot twists abound in this paperback original YA thriller that's perfect for fans of Colleen Hoover. What you don't know can hurt you....It’s been months since the accident that killed Ella’s best friend, Hayley, and Ella can’t stop blaming herself. Now Ella is back at school, and everywhere she looks are reminders of her best friend—including Sawyer, Hayley’s boyfriend. Little by little, they grow closer, until Ella realizes something horrifying . . . She’s in love with her dead best friend’s boyfriend. Racked with guilt, Ella turns to Hayley’s journal, hoping she’ll find something in the pages that will make her feel better about what’s happening. Instead, she discovers that Sawyer has secrets of his own and that his relationship with Hayley wasn’t as picture-perfect as it seemed. Ella knows she should stay away but finds herself inextricably drawn to him—and scared of everything she never knew about him. Perhaps it’s his grief. Or maybe his desires, cut short by tragedy. Or could it be something twisted only Hayley knew about? A dark, romantic thriller perfect for fans of Colleen Hoover and Laura Nowlin, Everything We Never Said explores the secrets in even the best of friendships and asks how well you ever know the ones you love.

"This book…💀😭🥹☺️🙃🤪😮💨. Those emojis are all of the emotions I felt while reading this book. It kept me on my toes the whole time and every time I go to set it down to take a break something would happen and I had to keep reading. If you like a book with a lot of plot twists then this is the book for you because all the plot twists in it is what made the book in my opinion. I loved it and I highly recommend reading it. I hope who ever reads it enjoys it the same way that I enjoyed reading it."

"This is a young adult novel that focuses heavily on grief and trauma, with a side of romance. Don't get me wrong, the romance was good and it was cute, but the book was a little heavier than I assumed it would be from the premise and that's probably on me.
Ella feels extremely guilty and auto resorts to blaming herself for pretty much everything that goes wrong, Sawyer is a golden retriever who is terrible at words sometimes and would have had 75% less problems if he didn't say the vaguest things in response to serious questions or when needing to provide an explanation, Hayley.....Hayley is kind of a bada** and i'm glad we got to see into her mind with her diary entries. I appreciated the back and forth POVs between Ella an Sawyer, though it did make it a little more obvious what direction the story was going. While obvious, it was still enjoyable and there are parts that I didn't guess at.
This book has a decent amount of romance, some heartache, a lot of thrill, and a huge scoop of EVERYONE needs therapy.

Random notes from my read:
-Poor Seema
-Damn, Hayley. Kind of messy, girl....
-"Ella. That's messed up.". I DIED laughing
-Seema is my favorite character from the whole book. She wins at everything.

Many thanks to Netgalley for providing me with the DRC and allowing me to provide my honest review"
