From Dungeons and Drama and Hot Dutch Daydream author Kristy Boyce, this enchanting rom-com following one girl's quest across the Atlantic to find adventure, love (preferably with a guy with a cute accent), and maybe even herself is perfect for fans of Kasie West and Stephanie Perkins. After a horrifying public rejection by her crush, Ellie Nichols does what any girl would do: She flees the country. To be more precise, she joins her high school’s study abroad trip to England. While most of her classmates are there to take honors courses and pad their college applications, Ellie is on a quest to rebuild her reputation and self-confidence. And nothing is more of a confidence booster than getting a hot British boyfriend. When Ellie meets Will, a gorgeous and charming Brit, she vows to avoid making the same mistakes she did with the last guy she liked. Which is why she strikes up a bargain with Dev, an overachieving classmate who she’s never clicked with but who does seem to know a lot about the things Will is interested in: If he helps her win over her crush, then she’ll help him win over his.But even as Ellie embarks on a whirlwind romance, she still needs to figure out if this is actually the answer to all her problems . . . and whether the perfect boyfriend is actually the perfect boy for her.

"This feels to me like a bit of a throwback, but I'm not exactly sure to what. This book didn't have enough substance for me to have any strong connection to it, and the cringe in the beginning was so overwhelmingly strong that I could barely make myself read on, but after finishing, my feelings toward this book are overwhelmingly positive. The setting was a lot of fun and a bit of wish fulfillment for me, and as scornful as I was of the MC's worship of British boys (I thought we were past this!), a lot of things about her ultimately resonated with me. I also make weird presumptions about people, embarrass myself, and then overcompensate by never trying for anything again. I have also fantasized about escaping to some boarding school in the UK. I also make impulsive decisions. I also have trouble commiting to school unless I can find someone to study right next to me. I am also unclear about my goals. So I appreciate that.<br/>Basically, this book was quick and fun and reads more like a (slightly better version of) an "Anna and the French Kiss" or an "Again, But Better" (oops but without the cheating) than the YA Rom-Coms of 2020 (21?), both because of the study abroad and because of how light they all are, but that ended up being a pro for me, because somehow I still ended up doing some self-reflection but minus the self-loathing. So this was more pure of a pleasure read than most. (That is absolutely meant to be a compliment)"
