"When this series was announced I was a naysayer. “A story based on pretty figurines? Bet it’s gonna be stupid and overly sexual.” Whelp I happily ate that crow as this turned out to be one of the best and most fun series to come out of dc comics. It stars the heroines of the dc universe in a fictionalization of wwii. It’s an upbeat series that knows people want some cathartic ‘beat up the nazi’ and delivers on that. However it also stresses the need for humanity, bravery and compassion in times of loss. The series will also jump around to new characters to tell a variety of stories. And since it stars the ladies almost all the romances are wlw (though it’s worth noting only some couples here are canon in the main dcu)."
