Richard Matheson
Robert Neville may well be the last living man on Earth . . . but he is not alone. An incurable plague has mutated every other man, woman, and child into bloodthirsty, nocturnal creatures who are determined to destroy him. By day, he is a hunter, stalking the infected monstrosities through the abandoned ruins of civilization. By night, he barricades himself in his home and prays for dawn.... Richard Matheson's classic novel has now been transformed by Warner Bros. into a major motion picture starring Academy Award nominee Will Smith. Directed by Francis Lawrence ("Constantine"), the film opens nationwide in December 2007.

"Just ok the story felt lacking in ways. For instance he is explaining some research late in the book I never knew he had come across. It was just skipping many things in the story. I did enjoy the differences from other vamp novels. The ending however didn't make sense to me. I was unsure why that had to happen to him."
"This was a very good book and one any classic horror fan should pick up. It follows a man named Robert Neville, the last survivor of a vampire plague. We get to learn about Neville through his thoughts about the past and present. I felt it very bad for Neville, his past is sad, present is sad, all sad. One thing that I thought was really cool was when he starts doing scientific research into the plague, we get pretty interesting reasons why vampires are the way that they are. The vampires in this book anyway. Just a heads up for anyone who saw the movie with Will Smith and wanted to. Check out the novel, it is is very different, but very good. Highly recommended."
"If you like the I Am Legend movie don’t read this book. The main character has horrendous thoughts of sexually assaulting dead bodies and the dead creatures of the book and it kinda ruined it for me. Also there is no dog like in the movies. "
