‘Life-affirming, joyful and tender. Beth Moran has written the perfect Christmas story to brighten up even the darkest Winter’s evening’ Zoe Folbigg When Jenny inherits her estranged grandmother’s cottage in Sherwood Forest, she has nothing to lose - no money, no job, no friends, no family to speak of, and zero self-respect. Things can only get better...Her grumpy, but decidedly handsome new neighbour, Mack, has a habit of bestowing unsolicited good deeds on her. And when Jenny is welcomed into a rather unusual book club, life seems to finally be getting more interesting.Instead of reading, the members pledge to complete individual challenges before Christmas: from finding new love, learning to bake, to completing a daredevil bucket list. Jenny can’t resist joining in, and soon a year of friendship and laughter, tears and regrets unfolds in the most unexpected ways.Warm, wise, funny and utterly uplifting, what one thing would you change in your life before Christmas comes around?Number One bestselling author Beth Moran is back with her trademark ingredients of wisdom and warmth, heartbreak and hearts soaring. "OH MY GOODNESS!! This book is a snoozed fest. It’s like when you want to take a 15 mins nap but then it’s turned out to be a 2 hrs nap instead… oh, and it’s not at all a Christmas story. The pacing was odd. And the main girl, Jenny, who’s running away from her problems but then got herself into another mess…. HES MARRIED!! I couldn’t even finish. I got about 90% done and I just didn’t care. I still have another one hour left on audible that I’m not willing to waste."
"Honestly I was getting tired of Hallmark Christmas books. I never knew it would be this difficult to find a holiday story that was worth while. So when I stumbled across Christmas Every Day I was completely surprised. We follow our main character Jenny who is trying to find her place in the world. She has lost everything her boyfriend, job, dignity. But slowly and with a lot of effort she starts to rebuild her life. And of course it helps that there is a grouchy reliable neighbor next door.

Now spoiler alert it isn't actually Christmas everyday. Though the family dynamics, friendships, perseverance, and all around joy makes this a perfect story for the season. The book club was one of my favorite parts. Instead of everyone reading the same book they all decide to make stories of their own by going out and fulfilling a set dream. Watching these people changing their life for the better and becoming happier just brought me so much joy.

Of course I am hardwired to know that if a book includes Christmas + romance it will be completely corny and unreadable. Christmas Every Day broke the mold for me. It wasn't just about the slow burn romance there was so much more. You feel everything as Jenny stubbornly learns to be herself and even though she is strong and seemly confident, open herself up to help and more importantly friendship. To trust, to be happy, to make the best of what you have.

The narrator Helen Keeley killed it. I swear she gave Jenny such a swanky attitude that it had me killing over with laughter. Helen's voice always high, yelling getting up in Mack's face not thinking things through she was utterly perfect. While Jenny was a perfect main character I still enjoyed everyone else just as much. Her friends having small side stories of their own and you couldn't help but root for them as they conquered the world or a muffin.

Although I have to say Mannequin Dianna was by far the best. I gaped and laughed like mad when Jenny began talking to her. There were so many small things that piled together to make this story feel so real and warm. Being apart of this life felt like twirling, face to the sky, as snowflakes tickled your face. It was cackling fun and holy hell what a twist. I just wish there would have been a bit more mushy romance haha yeah I know right after complaining but still Mack and Jenny danced around so much. Even so my cheeks are still glowing."

"This felt like Bridget Jones had just moved to Kate Winslet’s character’s cottage, in The Holiday. I smiled and laughed all the way through! "
