A one-night stand between two old childhood friends turns into something more, but when a scandal threatens to tear them apart, they must decide how hard to fight for love—a steamy romance debut perfect for fans of Tessa Bailey and Kennedy Ryan. Exhausted and on deadline with a story that could make or break her career, investigative journalist Georgia Ross is on the verge of a meltdown when a cancelled flight leaves her stuck in the airport overnight. But when a familiar face appears—the older brother of her childhood friend—and offers help, Gigi seems to have caught a break. Alec Kim is handsome, humble, and kind—exactly the sort of man that Gigi has forgotten existed after her own painful heartbreaks. An evening of reconnection followed by a night of no-strings-attached passion with Alec feels like a gift—that is, until Gigi finally realizes that their childhood connection isn’t the only reason he seems so familiar to her. Alec is determined to prove to Gigi that he is truly the man she thinks he is, even if it means coming clean about his fame—and his family’s connection to the story Gigi’s been working so hard to break. But as their feelings for each other grow deeper, Gigi and Alec must navigate a new reality…one where both of their hard-won careers are put directly in the path of an international scandal.

"*WARNING THIS REVIEW WILL CONTAIN SPOILERS* This was cute but had alot of spice. In the beginning I was intrigued and wanted to figure out how this was all going to play out. But then the "romance" just stormed through and I was kind of like "Woah, where did this come from?" I get it, they knew each other since she was 7 years old but honestly that felt way too fast for me. But I will say it was nice to see them both react like that and not understand it entirely. The actual plot was great, even though I feel like we didn't get enough of it throughout the book. The main conflict happened more towards the ending and it shocked me, my stomach dropped and I was left sitting on my couch like "That one single decision just changed everything!" I felt bad and understood why she did it, and angry at what he did but also understood why. I love the ending but also felt like the epilogue was a bit rushed. Overall a great read!"
"gah this one was so good! i’m definitely in my kdrama/kpop era right now so this was everything HAHA knowing that ivy owens is lauren of christina lauren makes SO much sense! this book is so spicy but sweet and has that insta-love warmth that you always want in a romcom! all in all, it was a cute, spicy read!!"
"Oddly great. The couple actually convinced me they loved and cared about each other. They talked about their problems. They went on fun, realistic dates, stopping at walgreens to buy beach stuff was just cute. Having out and playing video games with fmc's roommate just felt so chill. It was beautiful. "
"Plot, quick read, a little spice."

"This is a very underrated book and it still found its way to bookstagram. Yes, I am guilty of reading the whole book just because of an extract that I saw on the reel. I feel like this book could have gotten more rating than what I gave if the plot was developed. Everything was good unto a point but then the story became predictable. Its not even the fact that it was predictable but because it is probably the most basic book that I've ever read. It was neither plot driven nor did it have character development.<br/><br/><br/><spoiler>A girl named George falls in love with her long lost friend's brother named Alec who has become an actor, they are together for a while and then fall in love. In between, the Gigi has been investigating a scandal as a journalist. Alec's sister (also a celebrity) had been previously assaulted that links him with the scandal and hence he gives some information regarding it to Gigi. She writes the story and it goes viral in a way they didn't expect. He is then trolled by public after they think Alec himself is involved in the scandal. Gigi loses her job and then they cry and have a break for 1-2 chapters before he knocks on her door again. Within the next chapter, the issue is solved when Gigi writes another story with revelations that prove Alec and his sister as a victim. They have their happy ending. </spoiler><br/><br/>See what I mean? The story is so plain and basic due to which I am unable to give it more rating myself. I see a lot of scope for this book and I know that if there was more depth to the story, it would have definitely been hyped way more than it did."
