While Rory was in Dublin, grieving her father's death, she hooked up with Malachy, a lovable starving artist. At the end of their one day together, they wrote a contract on the back of a napkin stating that should they ever meet again, both would drop everything and be together. Eight years later, Rory has a photography job she likes, a boyfriend she likes, an entire Manhattan life she likes and then she meets up with Mal again. This time, he's not a starving artist, he's a world-recognized superstar.

"I started reading this book and went in totally blind. I downloaded this morning after a recommendation I would like the book and knew nothing about it.
Hand down top five books I love

It was a wild ride for sure, starts off with a one night stand two lovers, Mal from Ireland and Aurora from New Jersey. They fall in love , make a pack and reunite 8 years later . And that is where the wild ride starts in New York. Wanted to kill Mal a few times , But I just couldn’t.

Differently had many POV, The cow and chocolate bar are hysterical, Yes a cow and chocolate bar. It was out to left field and I loved it,"

"Okay first of all, apparently this was supposed to be a Christmas romance? I just didn't get that. I mean, there was snow I guess, but snow does not a Christmas make. That aside...

There were issues. But for some reason I just didn't care and this book worked for me. This is definitely a bit outside of Shen's norm, and I really enjoyed all the little side character cameos. They added a bit of relief from the angst and gave some fun, and sometimes comical, insight. I really hope she puts something else out in a similar style. It really gave me faux-documentary sitcom vibes. Like The Office or something lol."
"Just amazing!

Just when I thought I couldn’t love her writing more she proves me wrong with this amazing story. It’s definitely not her usual but I am so glad that she decided to write this story. I couldn’t put it down not even at work (shhh don’t tell my boss)! It’s quirky, witty and funny. A must read!"
