Nisha Cantor and Sam Kemp are two very different women. Nisha, 45, lives the globetrotting life of the seriously wealthy, until her husband inexplicably cuts her off entirely. She doesn't even have the shoes she was, until a moment ago, standing in. That's because Sam - 47, middle-aged, struggling to keep herself and her family afloat - has accidentally taken Nisha's gym bag. Now Nisha's got nothing. And Sam's walking tall with shoes that catch eyes - and give her career an unexpected boost. Except Nisha wants her life back - and she'll start with her shoes . . .

"The simple mistake of taking someone else’s bag at the gym leads to a crazy series of consequences, intersecting the lives of two women who are going through some tough stuff. Great writing, unexpected turns and memorable characters. Mostly, though, the power of the connections and friendships women make. Highly recommend!"
"When life throws you a curveball... get a great pair of shoes! "

"The is the only book I have read of JoJo Moyes outside of her famous Me Before You Trilogy. But for me, it was just an okay read. Nothing dazzling or new. Two women swap shoes by accident which you immediately know is a metaphor. Sam is your average doormat while Nisha is spoiled and rich.
The pacing was terribly slow. Still, I enjoyed the found solidarity and friendship. Alek was one of my favorite characters but there wasn't enough of him for my taste. And Phil's depression was very well written. You can feel the author's personal experience in every line.
But in the end, nothing surprising happened. You think swapping each other shoes and somewhat attitudes would have given the characters more growth. To wrap it all up it was enjoyable but forgettable."
