"Dark Waters follows the events of Dead Voices with the addition of another character. It all takes place on Lake Champlain, which I wasn’t too familiar with but enjoyed learning about its local sea monster Champ. Unfortunately for the kids, Champ was a lot more sinister than the tales. I loved the shipwreck lore in this one, and that we got to know what happened to the ghosts. However, the plot felt a little weaker since it’s main purpose is to set up the last book that releases in August."
"Much like that lurking menace in the cover, I gobbled up this book in a span of a few hours.
I remember its predecessors being much longer so getting to the last page was such a surprise, I couldn't believe how short it seemed.
Then again, all books are short if you love them as much as I love Small Spaces.

The fourth book can't come fast enough.

Plus the focus on different seasons? That's an aesthetic bonus I LOVE LOVE LOVE.

I'm just so attached to these kids, you'll feel like you're one yourself when you're between this book's pages.
You might as well cover the mirrors tonight while you're at it, too."
"Not as good as the first two, but good enough to read with my daughter"
