"Though I usually prefer reading the original edits of older books that have since gone through multiple revisions such as Nancy Drew, I have to say several things bothered me about this original edit. I'm not naive in thinking there wouldn't be anything racist in the original edit. I was just still surprised at HOW MUCH racist language there was. The word "negress" was used so frequently that it was uncomfortable. I guess it just shows how far we've come as people. I'm pleased it was not worse language used against POC but I can see why the original rewrites were to remove racist language."
"Such a good mystery"
