Eleven unique short stories that stretch from a rural Canadian Mennonite town to a hipster gay bar in Brooklyn, featuring young trans women stumbling through loss, sex, harassment, and love. These stories, shiny with whiskey and prairie sunsets, rattling subways and neglected cats, show growing up as a trans girl can be charming, funny, frustrating, or sad, but never will it be predictable.

"This book was so ******* good! Like I can’t handle it good. My favorite mini chapters/essays are “twenty tips to shopping success” “real equality(a manifesto)”

For “Other Women” the feeling of someone who you trust taking advantage of you in a way that you don’t consent to is so ****** up and very relatable. I loved the ending of that story.

Then we have the Not Bleak chapter which is so well written. It’s such a good read. And the reveal at the end of the story that Zeke really was the trans girl who stole Carla’s Estrogen and Passport! Also the road-trip where Carla poses as Zeke’s girlfriend while Zeke is in boy mode is iconic!!!"
"Short stories featuring trans feminine people. Will make you laugh and cry!"
