Yevgeny Zamyatin
We is a dystopian novel by Russian writer Yevgeny Zamyatin, written 1920-1921.The novel was first published as an English translation by Gregory Zilboorg in 1924 by E. P. Dutton in New York. The novel describes a world of harmony and conformity within a united totalitarian state. "I like dystopian books: they're books that show people what the future will be if we don't change something.
Our world, every year starts to look more like fictional representations of societies in which the citizens have virtually no freedom. We as a people are heading down a path, a path that will over time strip us of our rights. We should stray from that path, and work harder to achieve stronger individuality."
