"My favourite of the Apollo series thus far. I like seeing the characters grow from who they were at the beginning of this series. I still think it’s unbelievable to have so many of the same problems over and over again- but such is the demigod life I guess.

Also that death hit me harder than I thought, it was unexpected. And as much as I didn’t like it, I thought it was well placed and actually made the story feel more real to me. Which up until this point has been easy to dissociate from reality."

"Uncle Rick has done it again, bringing the most intense (and best, in my opinion) installment in the Trials of Apollo series!
In this book, it’s easy to see how much the characters have growing, especially Lester/Apollo. Meg and Apollo have a one-of-a-kind friendship, which is so endearing. In my opinion, it’s the best written platonic friendship Riordan has written yet. (Plus, I just really love the characters.)
Apollo as the narrator has been enjoyable from the very start of the series. His joke deliveries have been hilarious (even better than Percy’s in the first series), and his big-headed ego just adds so much more to it!
This, as I said before, was an intense installment to the series. I was literally yelling at the book from whenever Apollo did something stupid, or dangerously heroic, to when Rick decided to write the unthinkable. I had never thought he would actually write this into any of his books, for he hasn’t in his past twelve in this series, or the other six that aren’t connected. I was stunned. I’m still shaken. I can’t tell you what he’s done, for it would be a spoiler. But, dear reader, you have been warned. Prepare to leave your emotions behind after reading this book.
Five stars is all this book deserves. It was so perfectly written, I could hardly put it down, and I appreciate every part of it.
The only two complaints I have:
1. One grammatical typo (not like I care, just pointing it out)
2. The next book is coming out Fall of 2019 (half a year more compared to the wait times for this book and the one before it)
All in all, a must read for any Rick Riordan fan. Do not wait to read this fantastic piece of literature!"
"This book/ series is a side series surrounding the Percy Jackson series. It’s about the quests Apollo must go on after being banished to earth"
