Now, that responsibility falls upon Secret Service agents Pete Lattimer and Myka Bering, former N.S.A.code-breaker Arte Nielsen, and tech guru extraordinaire, Claudia Donovan. This unlikely team of heroes is the world's last line of defense against the strange and unexplained. When a series of sudden, unexplained sinkholes appear beneath the streets of Rio de Janeiro, the Warehouse team heads down to Brazil in the middle of Carnival to uncover the cause. During the course of their investigation, the team embark on a globe-spanning adventure from the misty shores of Ireland to the criminal underworld of Japan to the verdant Pacific Northwest. They are in search of the legendary Lost Cache, a collection of artifacts vanished from history that has suddenly resurfaced in the the hands of a madwoman with a long-standing grudge against the agents of Warehouse 13. They discover that she is using an ancient artifact to move massive chunks of Earth and mine huge, underground gold deposits. With the ground becoming increasingly unstable, our heroes find themselves in a race to retrieve the artifact before the entire city collapses!
