Enter a world of wonder, intrigue, and adventure ... London, 1896. Andrew Harrington’s beloved has been murdered by Jack the Ripper. Claire Haggerty longs to escape the constraints of Victorian society. For both, time is the problem: to escape it, to change it, might offer them the hope they need. As their lives become entangled with that of H.G. Wells — who is basking in the success of his novel The Time Machine — all three set off on a desperate flight through the centuries. But what happens when we alter history? That is the question explored in this epic page-turner, which will take you on a dazzling ride back and forth in time.

"I got this from a used bookstore thinking it was a childrens book, a good Christmas gift for my younger brothers. Thank god I decided to give it a try first, because oh my goodness…this is not a childrens book.
I couldn’t even make it through the first two chapters. Very quickly on, Andrew is established as a womanizer. He repeatedly refers to women as ‘conquests’ and has quite detailed and frankly, a bit disturbing, sex with a prostitute. I only made it about 40 pages in before I felt sick and had to stop. I normally don’t post negative reviews, but I don’t want anyone else to make the same mistake I did in thinking this was appropriate for children to read. It was disgusting, horribly unedited, and disturbing. "
"A twisty turn mystery that doesn't take itself too seriously! A circus of stories collide together, as Palma explores the what-if of time travel. My only complaint was that it definitely has some slow bits in there that I felt like I had to trudge through to get, but overall imaginative and original."
