"I absolutely adore stories about prodigal children returning home to find true love. Which is what happens here. With the tensions around police shootings recently, I had to push myself past the first few pages. The storyline of a police officer so hyped on the “blue haze” that she pulled a gun on an elderly woman, then joked about not pulling it on the child left me a little nauseated. I am glad I swallowed my initial reservations and continued on with the story. The story of Bree and Del was beautiful. The loner (Del) who had a crush on the cheerleader (Bree) runs as far away from her hometown as she can is called back home to hell her father. At a career crossroads, Del goes home to run her father’s shop, which is coincidentally staffed with soon-to-be divorcée and former cheerleader, Bree.

You will enjoy this sweet love story.

I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review."
