"I found it clever and intelligent. I liked the old English. which surprised me because the writing style can be a bit bland. I did not predict the ending, I liked the mystery behind it all and how it tied together. That said, I feel like it lacked in some of the romance area, to me it really felt more like lust instead of love. I like spicy scenes but I also like my heart to flutter too🙊😵"

"This is such a mood - steampunk era, supernatural coexistence, flowery Victorian language, and some STEAMY tea. Ah! I didn’t know I could hop onto such a random mash so fast. I am tearing through the Parasol Protectorate series only to learn Gail Carriger wrote so many more series. I have brewed tea every day to go with this series. A fun, light read with a great pace of world building and mystery solving. A delight for those who like some more action for their heroine and just enough saucy scenes on the side that won’t distract you from the plot but will whet the palette for more interactions, which there is just the right amount for me. Give it a try if you’re in the mood."

"I don't know what it was when I saw this on audible. I had read it four years ago and never moved on in the series. It was good, but I never committed to continuing. So I bought the audiobook because for some reason I was drawn to it and I was having a hard time finding new paranormal audiobooks that caught my attention.<br/><br/>Oh, boy! This was a good idea. Emily Gray is fantastic in narrating this! This sounds like a bbc miniseries production, not just a reading. It's brilliant!<br/><br/><img src="http://media.giphy.com/media/VvVeHW0UviOsg/giphy.gif"><br/><br/>This is definitely a new favorite audiobook. I'm glad I took a chance on it and would highly recommend this to anyone out there that likes audiobooks."
