"I can only guess that when this was written and illustrated computer graphics in books were a pretty new thing. In TDKSA they hadn't quite perfected it yet. A lot of the drawings left me squinting trying to figure out what was going on, or cringing at some of the artistic choices. Miller's script isn't nearly as bad, but not good enough to redeem much of the book. It was fun to see so many characters in one book, but I would have appreciated a slower buildup or more background. Why the rush to put it out in so few books?"
