"My least favourite book in the series (Lola and the boy next door is my favourite) but it has a scene in it that if it were extended would quite possibly be my favourite scene that's every been written. Someone needs to take some inspiration from this and write a less family friendly version."

"I can relate to Isla in so many ways. I mean except livening part time in France and getting my happily ever after. But that’s why I love this book. It’s makes me so happy"

"Ridiculously beautiful! This book seemed the more intimate and and mature of the three books. I loved so much about it! I loved the honest look at the characters and look at the relationship, even with the ugly parts and insecurities. There are so many moments that made me yell out "Yes!" I even shed tears. & the character mashup (we knew it was coming) was perfect!! *Awe!!!!!!!!
The problem now is that I've run out of story and I already miss these characters. The best cure for coming to end is to start over again at the beginning. I think I'll just have to visit Anna and Étienne again."
"The best books make you feel every emotion along with the characters. The greatest of books keeps you up past your bedtime with a repeat of "just one more chapter". Isla and the Happily Ever After kept me up way too late, but I don't regret one minute of lost sleep.

I cried. I haven't cried over a book like this in quite a while. Sometimes I feel like I'm emotionally numb because some books just don't make me feel the emotions of the characters. I felt every one of Isla's emotions. It's no wonder, since the first two book before this one were just as amazing, in my very humble opinion. I loved everything in this book, the good and the bad.

I was really excited for Josh's book. Though it is not told from his prospective, I'm still glad I got to see his happily ever after. The tortured artist who would be attending his last year of SOAP alone, abandoned by his friends who graduated. Maybe abandoned isn't the right word, but I think that is how Josh felt. I felt bad for this kid and I was glad for him meeting Isla. Just, these two had a hard time catching a break. From weekends away, taking risks, dealing with a door that doesn't really lock, and trying to juggle her best friend who also happens to be a guy. These kids took some knocks. It was emotional and I cried. I admit it again. Luckily my husband missed the crying. He hates those parts.

The thing I think I connected with the most was how Isla felt like she was behind since she didn't know who she wanted to be. I struggled with that for a long time and sometimes even now I wonder if I got it right. Sometimes things aren't so black and white. Sometimes things just have to happen, we just need a bit more time. I remember feeling that as a high schooler and it made me feel much closer to Isla. A girl who is bright and talented and the top of her class and yet she hasn't figured it out. It probably happens more than we know, but it's nice to see a girl not have everything all planned out but still trying to decide.

It's late, and I feel like rambling, and I'll have to check this later to make sure there aren't any huge glaring errors, but I couldn't sleep after finishing this. It's a shame that I haven't had this reaction to more books this year, but I'm glad that Isla and the Happily Ever After was the first for the year and hopefully I'll find some more amazing books that I will throw away sleep for."
"I didn't like this book as much as Anna or Lola but Stephanie Perkins will never disappoint. I absolutely loved this book. I loved it so much that I will warn you to not read this one in class like I did because it brought emotions even tough I was in public. But yes this is definitely one of the top books that I have ever read
"
