"This has been my least favourite in the series so far but it was still enjoyed from cover to cover. Again, I know JKR is a garbage human, but I can’t quit this series. Trying to quickly get through all of them so that I can force the bf to watch the series on HBO with me. "

"Loved it. I was going to subtract a star compared to [b:The Cuckoo's Calling|16160797|The Cuckoo's Calling (Cormoran Strike, #1)|Robert Galbraith|https://d.gr-assets.com/books/1358716559s/16160797.jpg|22002305] because some of the minor characters were fairly unbelievable, but then I added a star back because I loved how dark, suspenseful, gritty, and creepy this installment of the Cormoran Strike series was. JKR started to flesh out the relationship between Strike and Robin in this book. I was afraid I was going to hate it, but I thought that she did an excellent job of moving things along. Looking forward to the next one!"
"Best to read A cuckoo’s calling first if you want to understand the backstory; otherwise, can be read as a stand-alone."

"Well-written and interesting mystery series with great characters! Sometimes I think Rowling gets a little too convoluted and unrealistic with the plotline."

"I’ve really enjoyed all her ‘STRIKE’ books. I just finished reading her latest - ‘The Running Grave’ and loved it so much I felt a little sad to have finished it. Can’t wait for her next one. "

"I love Cormoran Strike. He is one of my favorite literary characters of all time.

Having read the first Cormoran Strike book not long before this one, I thought I'd figured out what to look for right away. Halfway through, I figured they'd all done it, including the victim. Then I remembered that the joy of reading is about the ride. And this one is quite a ride.

I love you JK Rowling."
