Edith Wharton
From the author that penned beloved literary classics such as The Age of Innocence and The House of Mirth comes The Glimpses of the Moon, the surprisingly funny tale of an unlikely romance that arises between newlyweds on an extended honeymoon who have married for convenience, rather than for love.

"Let's call this what it is: the fake dating trope of the 1920s.

Nick and Susy get married for the perks, only to "fall in love." However, if we follow that vein, they don't fall in love convincingly. I was more convinced they were in love in the flashbacks at the beginning from before they decided to get married! And you know who I felt bad for? Streff. You can't do a successful fake dating to true love story if I'm over here not wanting them together. I suppose the ending is ambiguous even if it shows their initial reconciliation, but I quite frankly wasn't rooting for them."
