"as a sick kid this book literally means the world to me. like actually. i read this when i was 14 and still coming to terms with being disabled (i got sick when i was 12) and this book healed a part of me that years of therapy didnt touch. its so so underrated and i recommend to anyone.

although i dont have either of the illnesses portrayed in this book, the feelings were there. the experience of growing up sick was there. the author is chronically ill, so that totally checks out!!
there were so many things that spoke directly to my heart and could have been torn straight out my own journal.

i would like 100 more books about sick teenagers falling in love, where nobody dies and sure theyre still sick but theyre making the best of it. theyre living their lives anyways. it sounds cliche but at the end of the day..
sick kids deserve their happy endings too"
