Everything about Sadie fascinates Jax, but he fights his attraction: Relationships never work in his world, and as badly as he wants Sadie, he believes she deserves more. "Good story. Bad leading man.

This is the 2nd book I've read that was written by this author. I thoroughly enjoyed the 1st because it wasn't the typical BWWM romance. No billionaires or white saviors. This book has many similarities and progresses much the way the other book did. I liked this story as well. I liked that Gia was strong in spite of everything she had been through. Where this book falters though is with Nate. He is the typical alpha Male who won't take no for an answer, jumps to conclusions, and tries to solve problems with his fists. I will never understand why authors, especially women authors, want to romanticize a guy refusing to accept that no means no. Gia turns Nate down continuously but he has no respect for her so he hounds her relentlessly. After they break up later he is incensed when he sees her with another man. He refuses to let the guy have what "belongs to him". As if she's a piece of property. He's also constantly pushing her for info she's not ready to give. Even going behind her back to get it. Gia went through hell and still managed to hold her head high. She deserved a much better man than Nathan."

"I really enjoyed this book and I'm glad I took a chance on it. I wasn't so sure about it at first. But in the end, I really enjoyed the story and the characters. It was sweet, romantic and a fairy tale come true.

I wasn't so sure about the rock star thing. But I'm glad it all worked out and didn't reflect where I thought it would go. Jax was more than just some playboy I was expecting. He struggles at first to resist Sadie since there seems to be no future in the relationship for either of them.

Sadie's mother really had me irritated and on Sadie's side. She hasn't grown out of her prima donna stage and seems to be nothing but a hindrance to Sadie. I was glad to see how many of her new coworkers help her out and befriend her when she needs the support now more than ever, since she has a little brother on the way.

I'm glad I took the time to read this and I hope that others do as well. It's a great story and I will be on the look out to try out more from this author."
